The Airport Rules is "the complete collection of rules and procedures in place at an airport prepared for the regular and coordinated use of facilities and equipment in accordance with the objectives of safety and effectiveness of the service" as defined by APT 19, in accordance with local regulations (Article 2, c. 3, DL 237/04, L 265/04, D. Lgs. 96/05).
Drawn up by the airport management, on the basis of what agreed with the Italian Civil Aviation Authority (ENAC), it entered into force with ENAC Ordinance n. 3/06.
Before getting formal approval by Enac, the most representative service providers along with the airport users’ Committee discuss and decide about procedures to be indicated on the Airport Rules.
Each airport operator shall grant, for its own part, the application of said procedures. They are responsible for eventual actions and omissions within their competence.
The dynamic nature of the airport system requires a continuous monitoring of the Airport Rules content, subject to revisions and additions in order to comply with new regulations and new institutions to regulate.
The Airport Rules is integral and essential part of the “conditions for use of the airport” as per Art. 699 of the Navigations Act.
